Main Track = Prog Track – Programming Track
Unlike the Z21, which has a separate programming track and main track, these tracks are connected to a single output on the Z21.
Main track:
• 2 A and, with switching power supply (item no.: 10851), 3 A
• Short-circuit detection
• Track voltage is 1 V below the input voltage
Programming track:
• CV programming
• MM programming

3-wire MM
MMI and MMII locomotive decoders
• MMI: Addresses 1 to 80 and 14 speed steps
• MMII: Addresses 1 to 255 and 28 speed steps
MM turnout decoders
• 255 MM turnouts possible
Please note: The polarity when connecting 3-wire tracks and the corresponding turnout decoders - to ensure that the decoder processes the asymmetrical MM signal correctly
USB-C port
The USB-C port on the Z21START newGen can be used to charge various devices, such as a smartphone.
